Biomass is a renewable energy source made up of plant and animal waste. Nuclear energy is released during nuclear fission and fusion reactions. As a result, nuclear energy cannot be classified as a bio-mass energy source. Fusion and fission of atoms produce nuclear energy, which releases a vast amount of energy.

One difference between using nuclear energy and biomass energy is that nuclear energy produces electricity through the process of nuclear fission, while biomass energy is produced by burning organic material such as wood, crops, and animal waste. Nuclear energy produces more energy per unit of mass than biomass energy. Additionally, nuclear energy does not produce emissions such as carbon dioxide, while biomass energy does.
