The longest above water mountain range is the Andes, which runs for over 4,300 miles along the western edge of South America. It passes through seven countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. The highest peak in the Andes is Aconcagua, which stands at 22,841 feet (6,962 meters) tall.
