Balaenoptera musculus, the blue whale is the largest animal that can be found in the water of Mexico. With lengths up to 100 feet (30 meters) and weight up to 200 Tonnes. Blue whales are the biggest mammals on earth.
They can be found in every ocean in the globe, even the ones near Mexico.
Blue whale population were historically severely depleted due to heavy hunting, but because they are now protected by international law, certain places have seen a modest recovery in their population.
