The capital city of the Inca Empire was Cusco, located in modern-day Peru. The Incas built an extensive network of roads that connected the capital city with many other important cities throughout the empire. Cusco was considered the religious and administrative center of the Inca Empire, and it was home to some of the most important temples and buildings, including the famous Temple of the Sun, the Sacsayhuaman fortress, and the Qoricancha temple.
