In Greek mythology, Zeus was the son of Cronus and Rhea. Cronus was the youngest son of Uranus, the sky god, and Gaia, the earth goddess. He overthrew his father and became the ruler of the Titans.

In Greek mythology, the father of Zeus was Cronus, the youngest of the Titans. Cronus overthrew his own father, Uranus, and became the ruler of the Titans, only to be challenged by his own children, including Zeus. According to some myths, Cronus swallowed his children as soon as they were born because he was afraid that they would overthrow him as he had done to his own father. However, Zeus was saved by his mother, Rhea, who hid him on the island of Crete until he was old enough to challenge his father and free his siblings from his belly.

In Greek mythology, Zeus is traditionally regarded as the son of Cronus and Rhea. Cronus was one of the Titans, a group of powerful deities who ruled before the Olympian gods. Cronus was fearful of being overthrown by his own children, as he had overthrown his own father, Uranus. To prevent this, Cronus swallowed his offspring as soon as they were born. However, Rhea managed to save Zeus by tricking Cronus and hiding him away. Eventually, Zeus grew up and overthrew Cronus, becoming the king of the gods and ruler of Mount Olympus.
