Cuauhtémoc ruled in the continent of North America, specifically in Mesoamerica.
Cuauhtémoc was the last Aztec emperor who ruled the Aztec Empire from 1520 to 1521. He came to power during a time of crisis, as the Aztecs were facing the Spanish conquest led by Hernán Cortés. Despite his efforts to resist the Spanish, the Aztecs were ultimately defeated, and Cuauhtémoc was captured and executed by the Spanish in 1525. Cuauhtémoc is remembered as a symbol of Mexican resistance and defiance against European colonization.
