I am not sure if it is a misnomer about getting wet under the rain will make a person sick. When I was a young kid, my parents allow me to get wet in the rain. My siblings and I usually play in the yard while it is raining. It was a fun time during my childhood years.

Is it really bad for our health?

Absolutely fine! @Shavkat Staying in the rain for a play or just caught up in the rain will not make us sick. I think it's the enjoyment, joy  and laughter rain gave you is much likely to have even made you stronger and healthier.

It would be great if the younger generations can do this. In the past, simple life is enjoyable with this kind of activity. In my country, summer camp is not common. Perhaps it can be a good place to enjoy some survival activities.

Yes. It is fine. Soaking wet from the rain is a good memory. Everyone should experience this once at least once in a life.

As you said, it is a fun time. Be Crazy.

I wondered if millennial kids would be able to do this. Most of them are addicted to using modern gadgets nowadays. If only parents can involve them more in doing outdoor activities.

I think it is not a good idea to stay under the sun during the summer season. As you had mentioned about diseases, it can be acquired. The worst thing is to be inflicted with skin carcinoma.

Some say that you can catch cold when you get rain soaked. But it just seems to be a myth as there is no clear explanation to it. We know colds are caused by viruses. You get it when you are exposed to the viruses regardless of the weather. I think playing in the rain is fine for kids. As long as the children are healthy, I don't think there'll be problem at all. Soaking in the rain exposes them to nature and to the thrill and excitement of outdoor experience. But as in anything, don't over do it too. Its also better to take caution, prolonged exposure to cold weather can also have negative impact on the body.

I agree with you. There are some people who have a low immune system, they will surely get sick if being wet in the rain.

Yes, it's just fine. Getting chilly or wet from rain doesn't cause you to get sick. But there are things that make you prone to come down with a cold. For example, you're more likely to catch one if you're extremly tired, under emotional distress, or have allergies with nose and throat symptoms.

I do agree that some people will not get sick after being wet in the rain. However, others need to be more cautious with this matter.

You had said so many things here. However, I am quite confused if you are trying to answer the main point of this question.

It is not fine to be soaking wet from the rain because it is easily to catch cold and you will have infection germs which may cause you a cold flu or coughing which can take too long to,  heal by itself . considering this I can't expose my self deliberately to soak wet in the rain.

I agree with you. If a person got wet in the rain, he or she needs to take a bath as soon as arriving at home.

Kids love getting wet in the rain . I can't deny the fact that I also liked playing in the rain when I was a kid back then. Getting wet in the rain can lead to one catching a cold or worsen conditions of pneumonia and cold allergies

There is no scientific evidence to support the claim that wet weather can cause health problems. However, there is some research that suggests that wet weather can lead to an increase in fever, Swine's disease, and even death.

There is no scientific evidence to support the claim that soaking wetness can be a health hazard. When it is wet outside and the rain is pouring on the window, it is difficult to get enough water in the body. This can lead to wet skin and a increased risk of getting sick.

Being soaking wet from the rain is generally not harmful, but it can increase the risk of hypothermia and make you more susceptible to illnesses. It's best to dry off as soon as possible.
