Some people believe that Vincent Van Gogh did not commit suicide and was instead shot by a local teenager. The identity of the shooter is unknown, but some believe it was René Secrétan, a local teenager who was known to have a habit of shooting at birds with a revolver.

There are some theories that suggest Vincent Van Gogh didn't actually commit suicide in 1890 but was shot by someone else. One of the most popular theories is that he was accidentally shot by a group of boys who were playing with a gun in the fields near where Van Gogh was painting. Another theory suggests that he was shot by a local farmer or landowner who was unhappy with Van Gogh's continuous presence on his land. However, there is little evidence to support any of these theories, and suicide remains the most widely accepted cause of Van Gogh's death.
