In Greek mythology, the one-eyed giants were called Cyclopes. They were said to be massive and powerful creatures with one eye in the middle of their forehead. According to the myth, they were the sons of Uranus and Gaia, and were known to have helped the god Zeus in his battle against the Titans. The most famous Cyclops in Greek mythology was Polyphemus, who was blinded by the hero Odysseus in Homer's Odyssey.
