Sharks come in different shapes and sizes. However, the largest is the whale shark, which has been known to get as large as 18 meters (60 feet) and on an average, these fish can weigh about 20.6 tons. These are found mostly in tropical oceans.

Whale sharks are filter feeding sharks, which means that as they swim, their mouth will filter seawater for food through the gill slits.
