The saiga antelopes are classified into two distinct subspecies: the Eurasian saiga and the Mongolian saiga. The Eurasian saiga inhabits regions spanning Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, whereas the Mongolian saiga can be found in Mongolia and China. Sadly, both subspecies encounter a range of challenges, including habitat loss, hunting pressures, and susceptibility to diseases. These factors pose significant threats to the survival of both saiga antelope subspecies.
