There is no definitive answer to this question as fibroids can occur at any age. However, because fibroids are typically associated with women in their early to mid-50s, it is likely that they are more common in this age group.

Uterine fibroids are not common after menopause. However they're common in women in their 40s or early 50s, and in some women older than 35. It is said that uterine fibroids affect nearly 25% of all women around those ages. Although, they're usually not dangerous and sometimes they can be easily treated. So, if you have some fibroids, I would advise you to go to your doctor, even if they're small.

The uterine wall can develop benign tumors called fibroids. Your likelihood of developing uterine fibroids may decline throughout the menopause. It's possible for fibroids to reduce in size due to drop in hormones.
