It depends on the situation. To be frank most of the situations I will stand by my friend side and will try to cover my friends mistake. But I know it is not correct.

I will stand for the truth no matter what even if it is my friends or my family I will stand for the truth maybe my friend will later understand why I did so

The truth will set you free. Telling lies could implicate you into a crime you didn't commit. It is better to be honest and advice your friend to come off any negative habits that might bring problem to him.

  1. White Lies: White lies are often considered socially acceptable when they are meant to spare someone's feelings or avoid unnecessary harm. For example, telling someone that they look nice even if you don't particularly like their outfit.

  2. Context Matters: The appropriateness of honesty depends on the situation. Sometimes, full honesty might not be necessary or may even be harmful. Assess the potential consequences before deciding to tell the truth or a white lie.
