Why is it important to always tell the truth?

Question

I am just wondering if we really need to tell the truth to people, especially if they are close to us. Doing this means that our lives are an open book. How about the white lies? There are times that we do not want to hurt people's feelings. Thus, we need to tell white lies. What do you think?

It is highly important that we tell the truth to our friends and family. No matter how hurtful it is because trust is the foundation of any relationship. Without it then no relationship will ever work. The truth will set us free from any guilt feelings.

It is indeed that being truthful is a part of life. Even the ugly truth can be blurted out to set the troubled soul free from being in guilt. There is no perfect life but we can work it out for being true to oneself.

Though telling white lies is unavoidable, telling the truth makes things less complicated. In the end, the truth sets us all free.

You said it right. We do not need to conceal the truth because it will still be revealed in time. The sad part if a person found out this truth from other people, then it will result in a bad situation. It cannot be denied because it happens in real life.

Absolutly important to always say the truth. In the begging it's will hurth you or some else, but the truth alwasy create a happines at the end.

I join you with your opinion. Happiness is the key factor for people to live normally. It may not be having a perfect world, but at least, we are trying to achieve happiness despite knowing the real truth about life.

I think it's perfectly acceptable to tell white lies and I would have hurt a lot of people if I hadn't in the past. When it comes to important issues I think it's important to tell the truth. People who lie too often are never believed when they do tell the truth and sometimes it can be a matter of life and death.

There are some people who are a pathological liar and we cannot trust them. Nowadays, it is hard to find someone who can be trusted by us. I do not know what happened. Back in the old days, it seems making friends was easy and they can be loyal to us.

Because it is only truth which binds you tightly with your friends, gives you respect at your workplace, tie with your life partner till the last breathe of ur life. 

Truth and lie are two sides of a coin one helps you to get more and more success in your life and other is always get you down in your life.

I also believed that telling the truth will set you free. In this world, there are always two sides, either good or bad. Sometimes we need to be vigilant to determine it. It can be deceiving, but we can still find the real truth behind it.

When we tell the truth our relationships grow stronger and richer. When we hold back the truth our relationships suffer including our relationship with ourselves. Telling the truth creates freedom and lightness. Holding back the truth creates excess baggage.

We cannot afford to cheat ourselves for not saying the real truth. If a person does this, then he or she is not a good friend. It means he or she is only with a person for good times only.

I do think that if we are not being truthful, lots of people will be hurt. Even a petting thing can be a full-blown issue and it will continue to grow if not being addressed. Unfortunately, many people are still being like this in the real world.

truth is a word that plays an important in one's life either to live happily or regretfully. telling truth is very difficult but after telling truth it will lead to sad but later it will create trust and belief. next, the important thing is the truth is like fear where no one can stop it or hold it so at some time the truth will come out and it will give more problems than saying the truth before. so telling truth is a better way to hold relationships. after telling truth one creates trust also by his words so that he or she said truth only to save their relationship with their closed ones.

Yes it depends sometimes lying helps to solve a situation for instance hiding the death of a loves one which can bring detrimental pain to a person we can choose to hide that fact. And also telling the truth always sets us free.

Definitely it is a good trait to tell the truth. You tell truth because it is the believable things that happen. If you lie don't only cheat other people most of all you cheat yourself because you are not telling the real thing that happened. And specifically does anyone here believe in you if they know you're a liar? Peace

Telling the truth is important , no matter if sometimes it will be painful, better than telling lies and after a while the white lie you are telling about will shock people.
