I studied Political Science.  I received highest honors in Fitness and Nutrition.  Neither have gotten me anywhere.  I have thought about going into Aromatherapy to help people's alments via essential oils as alternative medicine.  Should I pursue this career?

You didnt go for aromatherapy. It has no scope in countries like Thailand , Singapore etc. You will get high paid job for what you have learned . Should have some dignity in life without jumping from one subject to subject.

Thank you for the motivation!  I appreciate it!  Do you think a free education is just as good as an expensive?

No matter what happen i believe consistency is the key to success, don't let your past failure make your give up your education, if you are passionate about it why not go for it.

I found a Doctor Ph.D Degree Aromatherapy program via distance learning by bircham.edu.

My problem is that I am not sure whether or not I can afford this education.

Bircham's program is very unique.  I cannot find anything like it anywhere.

Why not continue to be a lawyer since you graduated the major political science? Are you trying to change career? I noticed that your work experiences are different from your profession.

Thank you so much for that vote of confidence!  However, certain people got in the way of my plans for law school. I think a Masters in Political Sciece would be so rewarding, but again, I do not want to step on all the wrong toes.  Does this not seem right?  I look up to women in Politics, such as Sarah Palin.  She has no problems.  Thanks, again.

Yes, there is nothing wrong if you want to pursue the aromatherapy career if that will make you happy then do it than regret later on that why you didn't pursue it. If that’s your passion and you can help more people in that career no need for second thoughts. Every one of us should not stop learning new things even we grew older. That’s one way of expanding our knowledge on different aspects.

I would like to advise you to go on persuing that career.

In life one cannot know what will help them.

There is a need for one to grab every opportunity he comes across. Since education has no limit

Choose what make you feel good and comfortable, what you find yourself in,as i find in your questions that you have doubts for what to choose and what to do.

You will waste your time trying to choose this or no that.

Make a plan for what you want and start.you can't spend the whole of your life studying and earning certificates.you should start to work to see how life is going after education.

Did you really believe any of this would be a marketable skill? Do you really believe Aromatherapy will be? Maybe before you waste more time, effort and money, you research the job market first, and let that be your guide... instead of trying to become a colonic hydrotherapist, or pursuing yet another deadend career choice.

I plan to take free courses on coursesity.com so as not to waste money.

Alternative medicine is the rage days and I really want to help people.

Continue both your study and your dream if you can multitask. If you excel in that subject then go for it. And also, you will succeed because you have a good purpose of curing people's ailments

Please sometimes when making a life decisions you don't need anybody to decide for you .Just listen to the advice, filter it and make your own judgement because taking other people's advice can make you regret later.

It is always a good idea to further your education, especially if it will help you pursue a career in a field that interests you. Aromatherapy is an increasingly popular field, and pursuing a course of study in this area could help you gain the knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful aromatherapist. You may also want to consider researching the job market for aromatherapists in your area to ensure that there is a demand for this type of work.
