How to apply edible glitter on food?

On Sunday we have a housewarming party and I am looking to decorate food and cake with edible glitter but I don't know how to apply edible glitter can anyone help me out?

It is quite easy to sprinkle edible glitter dust over cakes or cupcakes. Fresh fondant or icings should have it sprinkled or sprayed on top of them.

Try to make a top layer with fondant or icing and apply edible glitter over it. It can be applied over cake and cupcakes. You can also brush the glitter over the chocolates, and the pudding.
