From what I've read, it seems that men who date older women because they have their mother's characteristics have an Oedipus Complex.
I'm 20, and my wife is 28. She just has this mature beauty, and she has such a motherly personality, and even talks to me like a loving mother when we cuddle. She just makes me feel warm and safe because she has a motherly age and personality. Not that I don't love my mom and have been neglected and ignored by her, but the way my wife treats me, I don't associate with my mom. It feels completely different, and I love it. She's so motherly, beautiful and sweet, yet my mother, I feel, is nothing like her. You know what I mean?
Is this the definition of an Oedipus Complex? I love her because she has the characteristics of "a" mother. Not "my" mother.
