Can you remember the most selfish thing you have done?

The most selfish thing I have ever done and I would still continue to do is always being myself. I am very self centered when it comes to sticking to what belief. It is very difficult for my views to be changed by anybody. And I love myself this.

The most selfish thing that you have done is to allow yourself to be used. You have allowed yourself to be used and you are grateful for the opportunity.

I should have gone to my neighbour's funeral but I had the chance to do something I wanted more with a friend so I told her husband that I couldn't get the time off work. I still cringe when I think about it although he believed me and didn't seem upset. I did support him after she died so I hope in some small way I made up for not attending the funeral.

One of the most selfish things people can do is consistently prioritize their own needs, desires, and interests over those of others, without regard for the well-being or feelings of others. Selfishness can manifest in various ways, including:

1. **Lack of Empathy:** Failing to consider or understand the feelings and perspectives of others, especially when making decisions that affect them.

2. **Manipulation:** Using deceptive or coercive tactics to achieve personal goals at the expense of others.

3. **Exploitation:** Taking advantage of someone's vulnerability, resources, or goodwill for personal gain without offering anything in return.

4. **Hoarding Resources:** Accumulating wealth, possessions, or resources excessively and without sharing or giving back to those in need.

5. **Not Fulfilling Commitments:** Consistently breaking promises or not following through on commitments, which can cause distress or inconvenience to others.

6. **Taking More Than Giving:** Always expecting to receive but rarely or never offering help, support, or kindness in return.

7. **Ignoring Boundaries:** Disregarding the boundaries and personal space of others and invading their privacy or autonomy.

8. **Self-Centeredness:** Constantly making conversations and interactions about oneself without showing interest in others' thoughts, feelings, or experiences.

It's important to note that occasional self-care and prioritizing one's needs are healthy and necessary. However, when selfish behaviors consistently harm others or disregard their well-being, it can strain relationships and lead to negative consequences for both the selfish individual and those around them. Balancing self-interest with consideration for others is a fundamental aspect of healthy social interactions and relationships.
