I want to know the difference between banana and plantain. Or are they the same?

Bananas are soft and sweet when you bite into them, and plantains aren't that's why people fry them for the soft and sweet taste. Recommend in vegetable oil. Plantains raw are bitter, so that's why people don't recommend eating them raw and just fry them into chips or sweet oval shapes desserts. They're not the same. Bananas can be eaten by themselves, and plantains need to be fry just like batter or dough needs to be cooked.
