Although I think science is a useful instrument for describing the world we live in, I don't think everything can be rationally explained. Some things, including awareness, free will, and the existence of God, appear to defy scientific explanation.
Empiricism, which is the foundational premise of science, is founded on the idea that the best evidence comes from the senses. Some things, like awareness, can't be seen with the naked eye. Consciousness is something we cannot see or touch, but since we experience it, we are aware that it exists.
Some phenomena, like free will, appear to defy the principles of physics. Although free will seems to provide us the ability to make decisions that are unaffected by anything, physics teaches us that everything is determined by cause and effect.
Science is also unable to provide a solution to the question of whether God exists. God is not a physical being, hence science cannot establish or refute his existence.
So, even while I think science is an effective instrument for comprehending the world, I also think there are some things that science cannot explain. These are the things that we might refer to as "life's mysteries."
While science strives to explain phenomena rationally, there are still phenomena that currently defy scientific explanation. However, it's important to note that as our understanding advances, what was once unexplainable may eventually find rational explanations. Science continually evolves in its quest for understanding.
